This elegant accompaniment to any dinner or Sunday lunch and even those big family get togethers where you want to switch up the carbs. Its creamy, fluffy and it will add a touch of elegance to your table.
You will need
- 1 kg big potatoes
- 1 Salt and pepper for seasoning
- 8 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Milk, hot
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Peel your potatoes. Chop them up into even pieces and toss them into a nice big pot. Top with cold water and some salt. Add a cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook until the potatoes are fork tender, about 20 minutes Drain and place back into the pot. Toss in the butter, cream, milk, salt, and pepper and give it a smash. (You can choose to leave it lumpy or make it fluffy all the way, i like fluffy) Spoon these into a bowl and serve them up.
