Born and raised in the vibrant city of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Vusa Mangena is more than just a gospel musician, he is a storyteller, a visionary entrepreneur, and a vessel of hope. With roots deeply grounded in a Christian upbringing, he credits his late grandmother for laying the spiritual foundation that continues to shape his path today.

A Musical Calling

The journey into music began in 2018, when Vusa Mangena penned his first two songs, “Bambelela” and “Nkosi Bambisandla Sami.” The public’s response was nothing short of overwhelming, prompting him to pursue gospel music full-time. Since then, his unique blend of traditional and contemporary gospel sounds has resonated with a growing audience, offering messages of faith, redemption, and encouragement.

“My music is a reflection of my life and beliefs,” he says. “Each song is crafted to bring hope and healing, to remind people that God is always with them, no matter what.”

Entrepreneurship with Purpose

Beyond music, Vusa Mangena is the founder of V&M Multimedia, a creative company that offers music production, photography, and other multimedia services. The company not only serves as a platform for his own artistry but also uplifts other creatives, enabling them to express their talents professionally and meaningfully.

“My business and music go hand-in-hand,” he explains. “Through V&M Multimedia, I can produce high-quality content while also helping others pursue their dreams.”

Community First

While he hasn’t launched a formal charity, his commitment to community upliftment is evident in his actions. Over the years, he has led various skill-building initiatives for young people, teaching photography, graphic design, and catering to empower them with tools for self-reliance.

He has also organized campaigns to support local orphanages, collecting clothes and essential items for children in need. These experiences, he says, have been “truly humbling and rewarding.”

“As a Christian, giving back isn’t optional, it’s a calling. I want to help others see their worth and find their purpose.”

Spreading Love Across Borders

Performing for diverse audiences comes with its own challenges, but Mangena ensures that his message always remains rooted in love, hope, and unity, values that transcend religious and cultural boundaries. His music continues to touch lives both at home and abroad, and he remains focused on authenticity and spiritual alignment.

“One of my proudest moments was releasing my first album and seeing how it touched people,” he reflects. “It confirmed that I’m walking in my purpose.”

Looking Ahead

With a new album titled “Khayalami” in the works, Mangena is excited about what the future holds. He also looks forward to more collaborations and expanding his business ventures to reach more people creatively and spiritually.

When he’s not making music or mentoring others, you’ll likely find him traveling, tending to his garden, or spending time with his pets. These simple joys, along with his unwavering faith and strong family bonds, keep him grounded in a fast-moving world.

Words of Wisdom

To up-and-coming gospel musicians and entrepreneurs, he offers timeless advice: “Stay true to your values. Be authentic. Learn from those who’ve walked the path before you. And above all, let your faith guide you.”

In every beat, lyric, and photograph, Vusa Mangena brings light to the world, proof that when purpose meets passion, anything is possible.
