Frank Chirisa, the Bulawayo-based comedian who’s so confident in his looks that he calls himself the most handsome comedian in Zimbabwe. (We won’t argue with that, Frank!), He about to make history. He’s on a mission to become the first comedian to pack out the prestigious Bulawayo Theatre. And we’re not surprised – He is a hard worker!
Khwezi
But Frank’s not doing it alone! He’s assembled a talented squad of supporting acts that’ll make your belly ache from laughter. First up is Khwezi, a soulful RnB artist from Bulawayo who’s also a mental health advocate – because who doesn’t love a good dose of self-care with their comedy?
Mbongeni
Next is Mbongeni Ignatius, an award-winning standup comedian who won the BAA last year! The talented comedian has also performed in Botswana. Not only that, he’s also part of the Eswatini Comedy Festival set for September. Since one country just isn’t enough for this funny man.
Sincominkosi
Then there’s Sincominkosi Khumalo. A 26-year-old businesswoman and founder of Kingdom Culture, who’s a jack-of-all-trades – specialising in visual arts (charcoal drawings, specifically), speaking, writing, poetry, and podcasting.
D’Juni
We’re exhausted just reading that list! And last but certainly not least! Frank will be joined by D’Juni, an Accounting & Finance student turned comedian (because he finds numbers are hilarious!). D’Juni has performed at top venues like The Really Live Show, Duffy’s Tavern, and Kwantuthu Festival. And has a unique perspective on life shaped by his experiences from places he’s been and stages he’s performed on in the US & Africa. We can’t wait to see what he brings to the table!
With this talented lineup, Frank Chirisa’s historic show at the Bulawayo Theatre is set to be an unforgettable night of laughter, music, and inspiration. So, get your tickets now and be a part of this momentous occasion! You bring your phone aswell trust me, your belly (and your Instagram followers) will thank you.
