With more and more music coming from Bulawayo artists, Lee Mchoney is adding her talent to the must-listen to music of 2019. Her music is Afro-fusion which combines hip hop and afro pop, perfect for a pre-weekend celebration tonight at Jazz Café, Bulawayo Center.
Describing her first album she says “the album is a compilation of 7 songs about the different aspects of my life, in a lyrical artistic way. Love life, my daughter, the passing of my mum. I know a lot of people would relate. It’s named as a dedication to my daughter and also after a song in the album called Sana Lwami.
Her album Sana will be launching tonight and she will not disappoint as she has shared the stage with artists like Jah Prayzah, Asaph, Han C, Sun EL, and other notable artists. Surely a star on the rise, following her nomination for a STAR FM Music Award for Best House Act for her song John Cole (Skoro koro). Lee is ready to let her star shine by sharing all her music with the people of Bulawayo.
“Tonight I will be performing with a live band, giving people music in the purest form” says Mchoney. If this is not as sweet as her voice, her audience can expect a night of entertainment from the songbird.
