A big thank you to the Board of the African Influencer Awards for carrying out such a thorough adjudication process for this year’s edition of the African Influencer Awards. The evening was a buzz with the best of Zimbabwe’s entrepreneurs, influencers and community champions. A total of forty- one awards given out for the evening, from the thirteen categories. AFRLUENCER WOMAN OF THE YEAR 2022
Rewarding an outstanding woman based on her innovative contributions to the community and the country. The award honours the many sacrifices that she has made to help her industry to excel, demonstrated through her life and work and her leadership skills to be able to run a triumphing business. She has become a role model and a champion for women, to empower, motivate, encourage, support and mentor them to be the best that they can be.

Awarding an outstanding man based on his contribution to make a positive difference in his community and through out the country. They have been consistent in their work, showing dedication to a cause or initiative for the greater good of the people. This awards individuals whose projects, ideas and organisations are leading change and inspiring a better world. It is therefore based on the ability of the individual to cause a shift in the current manner of doing or thinking about something. The award is therefore based on the personality’s ability to alter the status quo with what they envision and create.

This award goes to the individual that has managed to reach a wide audience and has made a mark in their industry. The personality is recognised for offering an extraordinary opportunity for brands to engage with new and existing consumers as well as introducing the community to fresh ideas.

This award is given to an outstanding service to the journals, authors and bloggers. The personality is awarded based on personality’s ability to break stories, analyse and explain their subject for a wider audience and therefore create a community around their brand.

The award recognises an emerging fashion designer, who has created a label gaining ground in the market. It is therefore based on creative expression and diversity which are the cornerstone of the fashion ecosystem. The winner designs their label from scratch, and is committed to building a long-term brand.
EXCELLENCE IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY
This award recognises an emerging beauty specialist or salon that is making waves in the aesthetics, Beauty or Hair industry. It is therefore awarded based on high esteem practice, quality products and excellent customer service to the community.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to the people that have dedicated most of their lives to provide service the public, having managed to keep their work afloat for decades, contributing to eco-social improvement within communities, constituting the livelihoods of different individuals. The award recognises time, commitment and impact.
